Frequently Asked Questions

What is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?
PDR is the technique of removing dents-dings from the inside portion of a panel by pushing (reshaping) the dent-ding back to it’s original form. This requires a variety of different specialty tools for each application and access to the dent-ding.

How long does a dent take to fix?
A minor dent-ding takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Most typical jobs take about one (1) hour, start to finish.

Can all dent-dings be repaired with PDR?
Dents and dings are accessible for repair about 80-90% of the time. Access is the key to getting the dent-ding. There are areas where access is not possible like double-walled edges, where the panel is welded together. There are some braces which restrict access as well.
The type of dent is very important as well. True creases, puncture dents or deep dents where the metal has been stretched, all are unable to repair. There can be situations where total removal is not possible but a 75-80% improvement might be an option. Typical dents of light to moderate range with good access will usually come out 100% of the time.
